Our retained client, Portwest, is a world leading manufacturer and supplier of Protective Work Clothing, Safety Footwear & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all industries. With more than 100 years of experience, the company manufactures its products to International Quality and Safety Standards, which are certified by independent test laboratories. They provide worldwide distribution, from warehouses in the UK, USA, Poland, Dubai, and China supported by their own factories in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Due to their continued expansion, the company is now looking to expand their product offering in the U.S. Therefore we are looking to recruit a Regional Sales Manager’s based across the Country whose focus will be on not only selling the company’s product range through retail and distribution channels, but also identifying opportunities to allow the company to set up additional US based distribution centres. With huge growth opportunities all across the US, this creates exciting prospects for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to make their mark, in potentially spearheading the company’s operation in the USA.
The company currently has representation in over 40 countries worldwide, yet they see the US market as being the most critical to their continued expansion. It is therefore essential that we identify individuals who are 100% committed to the cause, with the vision to see the long term potential that this opportunity presents.
The role will involve marketing the products and brands to a network of industrial & safety distributors, large retailers and direct mail distributors. The successful candidate will have total autonomy to grow the business in their given region, within the defined parameters of the company’s overall objectives.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within the industry and must be able to demonstrate their understanding of the health & safety business.
- The ideal candidate must be willing to work away from home and be prepared to travel to other countries for training and marketing requirements where required.
- The candidate must be based within a highly populated territory and be able to evidence their professional expertise and networking capabilities within the region.
- The ideal candidate must be extremely passionate about the quality of their work, hardworking and results-driven.
Although this is a reasonably new target market for the company, they have already made headway in the U.S. And have recently engages a number of excellent Regional Sales Managers who more than meet the above criteria, in addition, they already have an extensive number of US based clients with whom they supply internationally. Therefore the successful candidate will be given excellent leads that can be immediately capitalised upon.
