Our Client is the UK’s leading provider of special cheques, credits and secure encoded documents, producing millions of secure documents each month from its fully accredited, secure production facilities. The company was founded in the early 90’s and are based in Runcorn, Cheshire, and Hinckley, Leicestershire.

Awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation in 2005, for its cheque printing software applications, the Group operates internationally and is recognised as a market leader, with quality and security as the cornerstone of its success.

In conjunction with Experian, our client supplies electronic payment processing solutions to meet the needs of small banks and businesses in the UK.

Partnerships with the world’s largest cheque scanner manufacturer, Digital Check, as well as UK based cheque processing software developer Solchar; enable them to supply cheque imaging solutions to hundreds of organisations in the UK and overseas.

Operating internationally, they successfully export to over 20 countries, with products ranging from cheques to vouchers and from certificates to ballot papers for elections around the world.

JOB OBJECTIVES OF SALES & MARKETING MANAGER:

  • To be responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet agreed company objectives.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans and strategies.
  • Plan and implement lead generation and promotional activities across all relevant channels – direct marketing, PR and events.
  • Manage the Group’s online presence.
  • Manage marketing team and external relationships.
  • Oversee market and customer research

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement marketing plans and strategies.
  • Produce and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products.
  • Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects.
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results.
  • Manage the marketing budget – deliver marketing activity within agreed budget with focus on ROI in marketing costs.
  • Plan and implement successful lead generation and promotional activities across all relevant channels – direct marketing, PR and events.
  • Create lead generation and marketing campaigns as required with the sales and marketing teams, through communicating with existing and prospective customers.
  • Work with PR agency and internal teams to ensure frequent and positive PR coverage through press releases, case studies, features across all available media.
  • Manage all aspects of the development and distribution of marketing literature.
  • Ensure that internal stakeholders receive timely information and marketing reports.
  • Identify, review and co-ordinate all aspects of exhibitions, seminars and open days prior to, during and after the event with a focus on ROI.
  • Manage the Group’s online presence.
  • Manage online marketing channels including: SEO, paid search, email marketing, social media.
  • Develop new content and suggest changes to existing content to ensure that the Group web site is up to date and maximising the opportunity for enquiries.
  • Analyse the effectiveness of online activity and suggest changes and initiatives accordingly.
  • Manage marketing team and external relationships.
  • Manage the time of the marketing team and ensure that objectives are achieved and in line with the Group marketing plan.
  • Monitor the performance of the marketing team and ensure the necessary direction and training is provided.
  • Manage the Group’s relationship with external agencies, including print, design and web.
  • Co-ordinate quarterly sales and marketing meetings.
  • Regularly meet with sales and business development teams at both sites to ensure that sales, customer service and marketing objectives are aligned and making progress.
  • Oversee market and customer research.
  • Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information.
