Technical Sales Representative - Flame Retardant (Position Filled)

Our retained client requires a Technical Sales Representative who will be responsible for promoting a wide range of Flame Retardant products in to the Textile and Plastic industries. This will involve winning new business and managing accounts.

We require a 360 degree sales person who has the drive and determination to to identify, approach and close new business however, at the same time, has the patience and attention to detail required to know “when to close” and when a longer sales cycle is necessary.

In addition, as well as being able to demonstrate a good track record in new business/account management, we require an individual who has some experience in a technical environment within the Textile and/or Plastics industry.

This position may well develop in to an international role covering the Indian Sub Continent, and will therefore require a reasonable amount of travel. Furthermore, experience of doing business in foreign territories and understanding cultural differences would be a distinct advantage.

We feel the most appropriate candidates will have a strong technical background and preferably have some sales experience although, providing the right personality and behaviours are present, sales experience is not the most critical aspect.

You will be based from the office and a typical week will be spent with 2/3 days visiting new and existing clients with at least 2 full days in the North West office.
