Due to continued European growth, our retained client, ShopperTrak, have a requirement to recruit a "new business" sales person in the UK.

ShopperTrak is the leading global provider of location-based analytics, offering insights into consumer behavior to improve retail profitability and effectiveness. The company requires "new business winners" who have a proven background in winning accounts, building business cases, driving process and generating new leads in the UK Head Office.

ShopperTrak is a fast paced and dynamic organization where everyone is on the same page and a genuine hunger for success is visible throughout the whole organisation. With more than 1,000 of the world's leading retailers, malls and entertainment venues, ShopperTrak deploys over 70,000 devices across 90 countries and territories. In the EMEA region ShopperTrak has grown rapidly over the last 4 years with top line growth of 16%+ per annum and a physical presence across the entire region.

The Chicago-based company has more than 200 employees, with offices in San Francisco; High Wycombe, England; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Shenzhen, China; and Helsinki and Finland.

Many of the world’s major retailers rely on ShopperTrak to gain insights through the use of Perimeter, Interior and Performance Analytics to better understand their customers, enabling them to enhance the shopping experience to increase traffic, conversion and transaction size.

After a period of significant investment where the focus has been on establishing the operational effectiveness and commercial prowess of the business, there is now a clear strategy to make a significant step change focusing entirely on growth.

In terms of experience, we will only consider candidates who have sold technical products in to the retail sector in the recent past. This could be in to shopping malls, department stores, large to mid-sized retailers and/or independent chains however, we recognise that attitude and aptitude supersede industry experience and of course, company/product training will be given.

Due to the nature of the business and the differing client base, it's important that the successful candidates are able to identify the right people within target organisations and ultimately close the sale. Initial enquiries are often routed through I.T. departments however, typically, the most appropriate people to engage are the individuals who hold budget responsibility and people who will own and act upon the data provided.

With this in mind, we are looking for professional sales people who will sell the solution based on its benefits (not features) once the customer  requirement has been clearly identified. We will be looking for candidates who can demonstrate effort, ability and the right attitude.

A reasonable amount of European travel should be expected. Marketing, lead generation and sales/technical support is offered in abundance however, candidates must value their time, plan to be efficient, collect appropriate data and follow up accordingly.

ShopperTrak appreciate hard work however, this alone will not make the grade. Successful candidates will need to be quick learners, bright, dynamic and motivated to sell without becoming comfortable or complacent.
