Salary: £35,000
Location: North West

We are looking for an Account Manager who will be cool, calm, collected, patient, analytical, methodical and well balanced – and will be responsible for looking after our clients existing business and up-selling / growing these accounts and bring in new customers through technical assistance and relationship building.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Work closely and effectively with the sales team, UK and Worldwide
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Successfully identify and develop new business opportunities in a variety of industries

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in Sales and Account Management within the Chemical Industry, preferably with experience of sales in products relating to Personal Care, Industrial Water Treatment and Metal Working Fluids
  • Excellent organisational, team work, time management, communication, presentation and negotiating skills
  • Graduate level of education preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and profitability
  • Positive ‘can do attitude’
  • Strong orientation towards results
  • Excellent interpersonal and business skills
  • Capable of interfacing internationally
  • Strong skills in business development
  • Ability to understand the customer’s buying process
  • Ability to find customers for the existing product portfolio
  • Ability to bring new products to the market place
  • Sourcing new products from International markets, basing on customer needs
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also confident working independently
  • Flexibility - Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
